Peneplain Teapot
Peneplain Teapot
Peneplain Teapot in white stoneware slip over Terra clay with gestural markings. Handles are made of foraged branches gathered from the shores of the Wallowa and Grand Ronde rivers.
Due to the nature of achieving this finish, each teapot has its own unique markings and interior. These variations are encouraged and embraced.
Holds 14 oz
Hand wash only. Our slip finishes require extra care when washing. While we appreciate a patina that develops with use and time, please be aware that these finishes can become tinted by prolonged exposure to highly pigmented foods or beverages. Re-oil handle with food safe oil as necessary to restore luster.
Wheel thrown
Seconds are reduced due to loosely fitting lids and interior crawling in glaze. Does not affect function.
*Please Note: Sage’s Porcelain and Stone finishes are a slip finish- which is a super matte, clay finish. Because of the way the slip adheres to the main clay body, it will visually separate in any tight creases or angles. (For example, around handles or spouts.) This is not a functional issue and these are not cracks in the pot, but an aspect to be embraced as this is the only way to create this finish.
