Large + small sized spouted cups in Rust + a stroke of light wild clay with a Brilliant White interior. The wild clay glaze responded to firing in an unpredicted manner resulting in some minor crackling and flaking. These cups are fully food safe as the interior Brilliant White glaze turned out smooth, but will require extra care when washing.
Crafted for the purpose of preparing, sipping, + pouring matcha, coffee or other beverages. This specific style of spout is intended to be poured or sipped from.
Nestled in the hillside surrounding Sage's home and pottery studio, lies an array of natural materials to be foraged. With a little attention and a lot of curiosity, she crafts wild clay, pigments, and various plant fibers into functional wares of the home. This clay is more than a medium; it is a connection to the land.
Wild clay collected from the edge of Tick Hill, Minam Pass, and Wallowa River in Wallowa, Oregon. Minimally refined + processed.
Includes:
1 Large spouted cup, 4” tall x 3 3/4” in diameter, Holds 13 oz at capacity
Small spouted cup, 2 1/2” tall x 3” in diameter, Holds 6 oz at capacity
Fired to 2232° F, oxidation.
Wild clay beautifully exhibits the imperfections of its untamed origin, resulting in a variability of finish and surface texture.

Seconds - Pieces that don’t meet aesthetic quality standards or are made as test products that didn’t make the cut for regular sale. The imperfections in the finish do not affect the integrity of the piece, unless otherwise noted in the product description.
Many makers throw these wares out, but in our practice of sustainability and reuse we prefer to offer them at reduced rates to reflect their visual impurities.
Giving room for imperfections allows for more accessibility for or customers and a less wasteful practice.
